Information We Collect

When you register for North Yield Realty's Virtual Office Website ("VOW"), we collect your name, email address, and password. During your use of the VOW, we also collect information about your search activity, listing views, saved searches, and favourites. We automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and device information.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to provide brokerage services, including displaying MLS listing data relevant to your real estate interests; to verify your identity and maintain the security of your account; to send you listing alerts and updates based on your saved searches; to maintain audit trails as required by PropTx Inc. for compliance purposes; and to improve our services and respond to your inquiries.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to PropTx Inc. for audit, compliance, and legal purposes as required under the VOW Data Feed Agreement. PropTx Inc. and its Members may access your registration information and activity data to verify compliance with PropTx rules and regulations. We may also disclose your information when required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. After your password expires (every 90 days), if you do not renew, we retain your name, email address, username, and password for 180 days as required by PropTx rules, after which your personal information will be securely deleted.

Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to request correction of inaccurate information; to withdraw your consent to our collection and use of your information (which may result in termination of your access to the VOW); and to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Requesting Removal of Your Personal Information

You may request removal of your personal information at any time by contacting us at info@northyield.ca. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your account and notify PropTx Inc. to update the listing display settings accordingly.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit (SSL/TLS), secure password storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date.
